today i’m using a poetic form called a magic 9 which is a 9 line poem with an a/b/a/c/a/d/a/b/a rhyme scheme.  the piece feels unfinished, but i followed the form! some examples i saw online included 2 stanzas in the poems.

there used to be a semblance of discretion
is both domestic and foreign affairs
a country doggedly ruled by aggression
can never expect to know or sew peace

constant social and political oppression
forces activists into the streets
the last few months provide an impression
of how deeply our populous is unaware
raise your voice! there’s power in expression!
