the here and now
(c) 2017 by margaux delotte-bennett

i am alive in a multitude of places, though i know with certainty that most of those places no longer exist.
-poet Mark Wunderlich

the here that they speak of
where one is supposed
to be
that here has always shifted
for me

because of and defying
definition

we travelers
know that it must
lend itself to revision
as we are oft
revised

now is always
passing
being is continually
fleeting
so here must reach
both far and near

it must shift its shape
and fate
like breath
forever constant
until death

only then becoming a
now
with a fixed time
date
state
some how
